Here’s a quick tutorial to follow the last one where you guys learned how to make snow. Thought I’d stick to the same theme, “weather effects”. This time, let’s make it rain.
Let’s start by making a new blank layer, fill this entire layer with White using the Paint Bucket. Once you’ve done that, go to Filter > Render > Clouds and change the Opacity to 63.
What you’ll need to do now is add noise, click on Filter > Noise > Add Noise with Monochromatic checked. Make the Amount: – 90% and Distribution: Guassian.
Now, click on Filter > Blur > Motion Blur and give it these values, Angle -45 and Distance 10 as seen in the example below.
Go to create new fill or adjustment layer and add Hue/Saturation with Saturation on -50.
Merge or Flatten all layers (Right Click on Layers > Flatten Image) and add max contrast.
